On the outside, this stately Victorian mansion set amid an expanse of lush greenery evokes a sense of timeless serenity, but the eye-catching remodeled interior is smartly modern. Sip on top-shelf cocktails at the swanky bar just inside the entrance before settling in to the cozy, comfortable dining room or a terrace with scenic views of the grounds. The culinary stylings of Chef Jesse Mallgren range from approachable fare like a signature dish of fried chicken (offered only on Tuesdays), to more formal dishes like dry-aged Liberty Farms duck breast, which might be accented with herbs and flowers from the property's half acre of gardens. Breakfast and lunch offerings are abbreviated, but the beautiful surroundings provide an ideal backdrop all day long.
