MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Raccoon dog figurines and papier-mâché masks for good luck decorate the inside of the restaurant. There are more than 20 different Kyoto-esque obanzai, including vinegared mackerel, green chili with boiled jako, and okara. There are also seasonal à la carte dishes such as bamboo shoots with kinome in spring, lightly fried Kamo eggplant in summer, matsutake dobinmushi in autumn and anago with steamed turnips in winter.
