A new culinary venture courtesy of chef Oscar Bosch, who has been on the rise in São Paulo's food scene since he opened the successful Tanit in the Jardins district of the city. Located in Itaim Bibi, in one of the typical three-storey houses in this neighbourhood, Cala del Tanit boasts a terrace at the entrance and a contemporary interior with a predominance of wood, an open-view kitchen and a counter where cocktails are also prepared for guests. The menu retains the essence of Mediterranean cuisine, with Spanish dishes such as tomato gazpacho and delicious rice dishes (Paella Marinera and duck rice socarrat, with grilled octopus and aioli), although the culinary repertoire here also includes an array of pasta dishes and a few Asian touches. A space for small private events, called Sala X, is also available.
