Riccardo Giraudi, the founder of Beefbar, opened this establishment, which, like the one in Monaco, pays tribute to Genoese chef Zeffirino Belloni, renowned for his pesto. Already a favourite among the jet set (Rihanna, for example, was an early adopter), this restaurant in a well-heeled neighbourhood of the capital serves up family-style Italian cuisine. The dishes are prepared rigorously for full flavour: a selection of antipasti, an enticing menu of fresh house-made pasta, salt-crusted bass, Ligurian-style confit kid goat, and a superb millefeuille for dessert. The decor in the style of "Italy in the Roaring Twenties" will not disappoint neo-vintage fans.
