8 Restaurants Newly Awarded Two MICHELIN Stars
In Paris, The MICHELIN Guide Inspectors have honoured 3 restaurants whose gastronomic progress has impressed them.

At Le Jules Verne, Chef Frédéric Anton and his Executive Chef Kevin Garcia have helped this legendary establishment, located on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, receive Two MICHELIN Stars for the first time. In the 8th arrondissement, Martino Ruggieri continues his upwards trajectory, earning a second Star for his Maison Ruggieri, just one year after his first. At L'Orangerie, Chef Alain Taudon adds another Star to the George V's gastronomic offering.

Elsewhere in France
Maison Benoît Vidal has successfully relocated from Val-d'Isère to Annecy. Here, the Chef remains faithful to his desire to "transform matter into emotion" and accentuate the "link between man and nature". A few valleys away, in a luxury residence in Courchevel, Sylvestre Wahid's Les Grandes Alpes restaurant is gaining in gastronomic altitude.

In Bonnieux, Christophe and Alexandra Bacquié have opened the charming Mas Les Eydins in the heart of the Luberon vineyards and olive groves; in the kitchen, Christophe Bacquié continues to demonstrate his love for Provençal cuisine, punctuated by subtle Corsican notes. In Monaco, Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac, which has just reopened after two years of renovation in the heart of the Hôtel Le Métropole, has also been awarded Two MICHELIN Stars. Christophe Cussac, a former lieutenant of Joël Robuchon, brilliantly navigates between classic and more modern approaches. The restaurant also boasts one of the finest dessert selections in France.

In Saint-Grégoire, Ronan Kervarrec adds a second Star to his restaurant, Maison Ronan Kervarrec, where he celebrates in a very personal way the essential aspects of Armorican culinary identity.

52 Restaurants Awarded Their First MICHELIN Star
This year, The MICHELIN Guide Inspectors once again travelled throughout France to unearth culinary talent wherever it was to be found. There has been a gastronomic explosion in France's towns and cities, and especially in the countryside. As a result, 23 of this year's new One Star restaurants were also new openings.

In the provinces, alongside newly promoted establishments run by well-known chefs (Calice, in Béziers; Le Champ des Lunes, in Lauris; Le Feuillée – Le Couvent des Minimes, in Mane), the One MICHELIN Star selection also illustrates the rising of a gastronomic new guard.

Fully aligned with the identity and history of the restaurateurs who run them, these independent restaurants are often projects that extend beyond the kitchen. Anchored in their region and connected to a rich network of small producers, they become unique and singular places, as well as true ambassadors for their area.

After meeting in the kitchens of Mirazur, Florencia Montes and Lorenzo Ragni decided to open their own ONICE restaurant in Nice. In Saint-Omer, former Top Chef Camille Delcroix prepares dishes from the kitchens of Bacôve that celebrate the local area. The same dynamic can be found at L'AinTimiste, Chef Jérôme Busset's restaurant in Poncin, a small medieval village on the borders of the Bugey and Revermont regions; or at L'Auberge du XIIème Siècle, in Saché, where Chef Kevin Gardien pays tribute to the best produce from the Loire and Touraine regions.

In the Dordogne village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, New Zealand Chef Nick Honeyman, his German-born wife Sina and their international team take a modern, no-holds-barred approach to Perigordian cooking at their restaurant Le Petit Léon. At Le Chamarlenc, in Le Puy-en-Velay, Chef Yoan Delorme and his partner Célia Baudelier, the dining room manager, offer their customers top-flight gastronomic experiences at very reasonable prices...

Paris, Ready for the Gastronomic Olympics!
Paris, with 12 new award-winning restaurants and a total of 95 One Star establishments, has consolidated its position as France's leading culinary destination. Among the notable newcomers, the Inspectors were impressed by Espadon, the new restaurant at the Ritz, imagined and led by Chef Eugénie Béziat. Onor is chef Thierry Marx's new socially and gastronomically committed project. Headed by Italian couple Flavio Lucarini and Aurora Storari, Hémicycle, on the other side of the Seine, turns gastronomic norms on their head. Japanese flavours and traditions are represented at their best at Sushi Yoshinaga and Chakaiseiki Akiyoshi: at the former, the sushi experience at the counter is the height of refinement; at the latter, the tradition of the tea ceremony – cha-kaiseki – is celebrated.
