The launch of The MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2022 on Wednesday 16th February saw 19 new One MICHELIN Stars, 5 new Two MICHELIN Stars and 1 new Three MICHELIN Star awarded.
Not only was SY23 a worthy winner of One MICHELIN Star, it also claimed the title of MICHELIN 'Opening of the Year 2022'.
Affable chef and part-owner Nathan Davies is an Ynyshir alumnus and it shows in his cooking, as well as in his quietly confident approach, both to the restaurant and life in general.
Along with his friendly team, he has created a fun, lively spot in this quaint Welsh seaside town, courtesy of a moody blue colour scheme, a buzzy ground floor bar and a vibrant soundtrack.
Every guest is served the 9-course menu of original, modern dishes at the same time and the charcoal grill is used to great effect. Regional produce also plays a leading role, with preservation techniques allowing local ingredients to feature throughout the year.
The generously priced wines by the glass also provide plenty of opportunity to try something new.
