From the late Mr Yang’s first shop in Taiwan in 1958 grew a multinational chain with branches all over the world. It’s famous for good service, competitive prices and listening to its customer’s feedback, but mostly for its xiao long bao made on the spot. Even the vinegar, free of artificial colours and preservatives, is shipped from Taiwan. Seating accommodates different party sizes, from solo diners to parties of 12. Expect long queues at peak hours.
A household name among Canto-pop listeners and fellow food lovers, Yu Yat Yiu dines at restaurants regularly, both for leisure and business. We ask him to highlight a few of his favourite venues in the MICHELIN Guide.
