Wullenwever

Roy Petermann has been at the helm of Wullenwever since 1990. His restaurant, which occupies a charming patrician house dating from 1585, proposes classic cuisine that is replete with Mediterranean influences and enjoyably free of gimmicks. The focus here is on top-quality produce, which is showcased in harmonious dishes. There is a set menu that changes every three weeks, as well as a surprise menu, which can be ordered in advance. Vegetarians are also catered for. The excellent wine list is principally devoted to labels from Germany and Europe, but it does also venture as far as the New World. The Hamburg-born chef runs this tasteful, elegant restaurant in the middle of the old town together with his charming wife, Manuela, who attentively looks after the guests. The inner courtyard with its lovely green terrace is wonderful!
