The charming team are a big part of the draw at this lively upmarket brasserie that offers generous, classic dishes at a reasonable price. While the chalkboard displays daily specials, there is always a place for a multitude of herring on the menu – curried, picked, marinated or fried, the choice is yours. Other dishes like a perfectly crisped chicken tartlet are equally appealing. There’s a cosy vibe to the place and a small drinks counter where you can chat away with the waiters.
