On Merchant Street, the main pedestrian thoroughfare in the city centre and home to a plethora of bars and eateries, Grain Street is a modern bistro with a lovely alfresco section and a cosy, pleasant interior. The accent is on simple, unfussy Mediterranean fare. Be sure to try the corn-fed chicken with a hazelnut crust, served with preserved lemons, courgettes and basil. The establishment, part of the Rosselli – AX Privilege hotel, is open in the mornings for breakfast.
