Marlo Hampton's Rich, Luxe, and Drama-Free Atlanta

The "Real Housewives" star dishes on her favorites in the Big Peach.

When Bravo premiered The Real Housewives franchise in 2006, the world was introduced to television gold. However, it wasn't until two years later when the series set up their cameras to capture the drama in ATL. While some cast members came and went, one constant providing equal parts style and drama is Marlo Hampton. The St. Petersburg, Florida-native captivated audiences with her bold attitude, biting wit, and elegant ensembles. However, there's more to Hampton than meets the eye. In addition to being on Housewives, Hampton is also a committed philanthropist founding the nonprofit Glam It Up, Inc. empowering young girls in foster care. Additionally, Hampton translated her passion for fashion into a business with Lé Archive, located at No. 18 inside of Buckhead Village, a compendium of her distinct, designer finds on offer to stylists and VIPs.

Beyond the glitz, glamour, and small screen, Hampton supports her two nephews and champions Atlanta's thriving cultural scene as an avatar of change. Below, Hampton shares her favorites spots in and around Atlanta.

What is your favorite MICHELIN Guide restaurant?

Atlas at The St. Regis. Atlas is a real gem! I’m a big fan of Chef Freddy Money; he’s got this amazing way of turning every dish into a piece of art. From the flavors to the plating, his attention to detail really shines through. And let’s not forget the atmosphere—it’s elegant and sophisticated, making it perfect for a memorable night out.

How about a favorite museum or gallery?

Gallery Anderson Smith. This spot is a must-see for art lovers. Gallery Anderson Smith showcases some of the most compelling work from both local and international artists. It’s always inspiring to see pieces that reflect the unique, vibrant art scene here in Atlanta.

Do you have a favorite hidden gem?

Lion’s Club (members only). The Lion’s Club is one of those places you only hear about if you’re lucky. It’s intimate, low-key, and has this sophisticated vibe that makes it the perfect spot to unwind and catch up with friends.

Where do you go to unwind?

I have two! Montaluce Winery and The Daily Pilates in Buckhead. Montaluce Winery is my little escape from city life. The peaceful vineyard views make it easy to relax and recharge. If I’m looking for a workout to clear my mind, The Daily Pilates in Buckhead is my go-to. The instructors are fantastic, the vibe is always welcoming, and I leave feeling tired—in a good way!

Where do you go for a breath of fresh air?

Chastain Park. Chastain Park is just a great all-around spot, whether you’re in the mood for a morning walk, a picnic, or catching a concert at the amphitheater. It’s one of those places where you can really enjoy the beauty of Atlanta. I usually walk and catch up on phone calls and take time to clear my mind.

How about a coffee shop?

Bread & Butterfly/Star Provisions. I’m not big on coffee (I prefer a good cocktail) but when I need a good coffee shop to go to, Bread & Butterfly has this European charm that makes it the perfect cozy spot for a light meal. And Star Provisions is amazing for fresh, organic finds—it’s hard to walk out without picking up something special for me or someone that I care about. I love buying gifts.

What is your favorite theater?

Buckhead Theater. It has that classic charm, and it’s one of the best places for live performances; I’ve seen a few concerts there. The setting is so intimate and special.

Where do you go for specialty items?

Diptyque at Buckhead Village. Diptyque is a little slice of luxury, and I can’t say enough about their fragrances, home and hand soap, and candles. When I’m there, I always look for John Wesley—he has a real knack for finding just the right scent and catering to my needs.

Where do you shop for clothes and accessories?

I have a few favorite spots for shopping. For shoes, you can’t go wrong with Giuseppe Zanotti at Phipps, where Antony knows all the best picks. Balmain is another go-to, and Brittney is fantastic at helping you find standout pieces. At Neiman Marcus, Jeffrey and Paige are my style guides; they make sure I’m always up to date with both trends and timeless pieces. And, of course, Hermès now at Phipps Plaza (formerly at Buckhead Village) is on the list. If you stop by, make sure to ask for Kim—she’s a gem and always makes the experience so special.
