Mondays in the restaurant industry are normal people’s Sundays—typically closed and allowing chefs a respite from the hustle and bustle of the dining scene. However, this past Monday, chef Markus Glocker hosted a standing-room only party packed with talent including Angie Mar, Cédric Vongerichten, and Daniel Boulud. However, between bites of caviar and burgers, the evening was a celebration of Glocker, his beverage director Katja Scharnagl, and the whole Koloman team.
Sprinkled throughout the elegant 29th street space were faces from the world of fashion, food, and stage—think designer Peter Som with Marcus Teo, Roni Mazumdar and Chintan Pandya of Unapologetic Foods, and Sondra Lee. And as the evening progressed over martinis and champagne, it was a joyous occasion toasting one of New York’s newest spots.
