Maybach’s Latest Reveal is a Star Worthy Affair

The West Village celebrated luxury and style on the plate and the road.

Consider this week’s reveal of the all-electric, brand new 2024 Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV Night Series the chicest ever. Hidden within an oversized Maybach box, it was akin to a chef removing a cloche revealing a Three Star plate. It was fitting, given the brand’s “Welcome to Beyond” tagline setting the scene for a superlative evening. Inside the Urban Zen space on Greenwich Street, guests including Christian Combs, Yara Shahidi, and Olympian Miles Chamley-Watson scoped out the other Mercedes-Maybach models, the S580 Night Series and GLS 600 Night Series. Complementing the haute vehicles were equally distinctive bites from MICHELIN One Star The Musket Room.

So how does the female-led team of chefs Mary Attea and Camari Mick create luxury on the plate? “Taking our collective experiences and wealth of knowledge and collaborating together to create a cohesive menu,” says Mick. Nibbling on crab toast on squid ink milk bread, white gazpacho shooters with gold leaf, and of course, a touch of caviar in the form of a tart, the food tantalized guest’s taste buds, but also provided a feast for the eyes.

However, all eyes were on Dimitris Psillakis, Head of Marketing and Sales North America and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA and Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes‑Maybach who highlighted the elevated design of the vehicles including the exclusive two-tone obsidian black / Mojave silver paint finish and Maybach Night Series rims. But as guests wandered the space to the the sounds of a jazz saxophonist, the evening's soundtrack of cool luxury lingered well into the evening.
