Day 1 – A Yas Island Adventure

Morning

First, it’s time to check in. Your epic journey starts at Yas Island: a playground for all things fun, regardless of age. One hotel we know you’ll love is the W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island. Stay at this youthful and colourful five-star hotel at the epicentre of Abu Dhabi’s iconic Formula One track. Its grid-like exteriors captivate as you drive up, while its interiors offer prime views of the races across the venue, especially in their WOW suite.

After you’ve checked in, head on over to Al Qana, located about 20 minutes away, to kick-start your morning with a hearty meal. To get ready for an action-packed day, a Mediterranean-inspired brunch at Bib Gourmand Oii is one way to do that. Whether you’ve got a sweet tooth or prefer something a little more savoury, take your pick from Tuscan eggs benedict, fluffy Portuguese rabanadas or Paccheri pasta, all of which deliver on flavour at pocket-friendly prices.

Afternoon

Now that you’ve eaten, it’s time head back to Yas Island to get your heart racing! Whether you’re with kids, or just a kid at heart, visiting the iconic Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park is always a good idea. There, you are engulfed in nostalgia. Rub shoulders with all your favourite cartoon characters and superheroes on their thrilling rides, in their many restaurants, and across their memorabilia outlets. Live out some childhood dreams before setting off to the next destination, where things start to get a little more daring.

In just five minutes, you’re already at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, home to thrilling coasters and rides that are not for the faint of heart. For even more adrenaline rushes, the theme park is also packed with other Ferrari-themed experiences, including go-kart races and zero-gravity drops.

Afternoon

After burning off some calories, it’s time to refuel – and a Lebanese feast will do just that! About five minutes away from the hotel by car is Bib Gourmand Beirut Sur Mer, located on the island’s Al Mamsha. Grab a late lunch and indulge in classic Lebanese favourites with a nautical twist – including a hummus with crab and apricot jam. Be ready for generous portions made to share, paired with idyllic, azure seaside views.

A walk is always a good idea after a fulfilling meal, but we suggest also having a refreshing drink as a bonus. Not too far from Beirut Sur Mer is MICHELIN-selected, contemporary Japanese eatery NIRI. Stop by and have deliciously crafted mocktails by the sea before you head on to the next spot. The menu is also full of favourites including precisely cut nigiris and hot-off-the-grill kushiyakis, if you still have some room before dinner.
