The Peninsula Hotel's L'Oiseau Blanc is one of those rooftop restaurants that has more than its fair share of foodie fans. Le Perchoir
It is impossible not to mention this rooftop restaurant commanding staggering views over eastern Paris as it was one of the first to appear on the capital's skyline. Never short on ideas, Le Perchoir has recalibrated to focus on gastronomy, welcoming some of the most fashionable chefs in residence. Think Adrien Cachot, Céline Pham and Manon Fleury — now it’s the turn of Gianmarco Gorni and Hubert Niveleau to don their aprons as they serve up Italian-American cuisine that's as indulgent as it is nostalgic. As for the cocktail bar, it continues to mix its original creations, to be sipped as you take in the view.The sixth floor of a beautiful Haussmann building on Avenue George V is home to this restaurant. In keeping with its fashionable neighbours within Paris's Golden Triangle, it serves haute-couture cuisine in the form of masterful takes on the French classics (along with a touch of originality). Chef Frédéric Verdon makes no bones about scouring every corner of France in search of the country's best produce and builds relationships with those producers: hand-picked farmers, market-gardeners and wine-growers. His aim is to make Le 39V a showcase for France's terroirs, a tribute to the country's farmers and food artisans.

The rooftop bar at the Kimpton Saint-Honoré hotel, close to Opéra Garnier, promises both a superb view of the capital and a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle below. It's the perfect verdant place for a cocktail high above the city, especially when the sun sets between the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. It's hard not to succumb to the temptation of a glass of champagne, but try one of the house cocktails – the menu ranges from great classics such as the negroni to more original creations including the Barbarossa, made with rum, Cointreau, ginger syrup and fruit purée.Brach

This glass-clad tower on the banks of the Seine has been completely renovated and refurbished to create a comfortable hotel, with a decor incorporating elements from designer furniture to contemporary works of art. While the guestrooms boast a superb view of the Île Saint-Louis, the panoramic 15th-floor rooftop venue truly reaches new heights. This is the realm of Le Bonnie, a bar, restaurant and club, where you can have lunch with a view of Notre-Dame's spire, or sip on a drink as you bask in the feeling of floating above the city. This hotel in the centre of Paris, equidistant from Montorgueil, République and the Marais areas, is a popular pied-à-terre for creatives visiting the city. The Haussmann façade conceals a bold architectural design that was created with environmental and sustainability factors in mind. The Herbarium cocktail bar on the ground floor is particularly popular, but it is the hotel's rooftop bar that attracts the crowds in summer.
