Hidden away in a side street is this small and intimate restaurant which is run with infectious enthusiasm by the chef-owner – it’s obvious why it’s such a hit with the locals. The cooking makes good use of Devon’s seasonal larder, with dishes that are creative yet hearty. Start with a drink in the bar, then head upstairs to a table beneath the beams.
