Niurou Mian Guanzi is easy to spot with its large yellow signboard. The signature Hongshao Beef Noodles feature soy-braised beef with bok choy and mustard-green pickles, set in a rich, savory broth topped with a drizzle of chili oil. Popular side dishes include crispy Taiwanese-style fried pork chops, or paigu, and hongyou chaoshou, both great accompaniments to the beef noodles. The restaurant limits its daily noodle service to ensure the broth is served at its best. We recommend that you pair a cold Taiwanese beer with this seemingly simple yet flavorful national dish.
