With only two guestrooms, the establishment is tucked away in a quiet side street in the city centre, creating an intriguing architectural juxtaposition with the adjacent district court. The compact restaurant with just four tables has a tastefully modern decor and a cosy atmosphere. In the adjoining open kitchen, Mike Johann prepares seasonal dishes. Diners can create a personalised tasting menu of three to six courses from a concise à la carte selection that changes daily. Things begin with "Johanns Abendmahl" ("Johanns Supper"), an assortment of small bites. Both the chef-patron and his wife provide friendly service with a pleasing personal touch – the former also presents his dishes himself and recommends wine pairings from a list of more than 900 labels.
