The owner-chef is a fish connoisseur, having gone from Kagoshima to Osaka to train as a sushi chef, and with experience, too, of working for a fishmonger. He is supremely self-confident in what he serves, saying to the customer ordering from the menu that "all are recommended". Here you can enjoy a full meal of single dishes, including sashimi of fish in season, grilled dishes, and nitsuke. It's great how you can order even just a single piece of nigiri of the fish you like, if that's all you want. Or, let him know your preferences, and he'll put together a meal for you.
