With a dining area whose circular floor plan harks back to its previous vocation as a dance floor, Cornelia and Georg Essig's restaurant is the ideal place for a great lunch – open from 11am, guests can order food until 3.30pm. Front of house, the charming owner is always ready to chat to her guests; meanwhile, in the kitchen, her husband draws on excellent produce and his own technical expertise to deliver a modern take on dishes with classical culinary foundations, such as warm octopus with celeriac, tomato and truffle or baked rhubarb and brioche with a honey and vanilla sauce, rhubarb sorbet and stewed rhubarb.
