An imposing former Synod Hall built in 1861 houses this long-standing, family-owned restaurant; start with a drink in the bar, surrounded by contemporary Irish art. The classically based dishes are full of flavour and there’s a great value Sunday lunch; the Queen’s egg custard tart is a must-try!
