It is no secret that Italians have great taste. Milanese chef Alberico Penati has set up shop in this chic bistro with honey-coloured wood panelling, and bay windows overlooking the garden of the Invalides – a highly prized location indeed! Tradition is the chef's passion. With no concessions to passing fashions, his menu features a selection of Italian classics made out of carefully selected ingredients. Home-made pasta remains the forte of this place, eg ravioli del plin piemontesi with a very good roast beef jus. The 100% Italian wine list highlights Piedmontese wines, particularly Barolo and Barbaresco.
