A beautiful tree with enormous leaves – a paulownia – stands on this stretch of pavement in the 20th arrondissement, opposite the restaurant run by chef Geoffroy Belin and his sommelier partner Tess Duteil. Since meeting while working for Alain Passard, these two have retained their predilection for those same premium ingredients that are used in MICHELIN-starred restaurants (pigeon, duck, guinea fowl). A small puff pastry pie filled with tender and aromatic Auvergne pork; guinea fowl in an intensely flavoured salt crust; crunchy choux craquelin, house-made verbena ice cream. A bistro ambience with a large central bar, wood-panelled walls and parquet flooring. Very friendly service.
