In a cobbled street in the old town near the Basilique St Epvre, this is a lovely, relaxed little spot run by a young chef who has already travelled the world. Taking the form of a lunchtime set menu and a slightly more expensive à la carte menu in the evening, the dishes served in this bistro are generous and appetising – think fried artichokes, Cantal cheese foam and confit egg yolk or ribeye steak (for an extra charge) with faro and broccoli risotto. To finish in style, opt for baked apple with praline, cider espuma and yoghurt ice cream.
