The beautiful landscape here is perfectly complemented by the elliptical shape of Luisenhöhe wellness and health resort, which gracefully blends into its surroundings. Inside, too, modern design and high-quality natural materials make for an attractive decor that pays homage to the region – that goes for the guestrooms, the spa and the restaurant. The latter has a pleasantly laid-back feel, and floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the Black Forest and the Schauinsland mountain – only the view from the fabulous terrace can beat it. Prepared in the open kitchen, the four-course vegetarian set menu can be supplemented with a fish or meat dish, or veganised. The emphasis on regional sourcing and top-quality ingredients is demonstrated by compositions such as "sunflower seeds/zucchini/tarragon + pasture-raised chicken from the Black Forest". The excellent wine list features a good selection of German and international labels. The futuristic design of the passage that leads from the multi-storey car park to the hotel is also impressive.
