January 23, 2025 – The MICHELIN Guide will host the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony, an official release event for the MICHELIN Guide Seoul & Busan 2025 on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at The Westin Chosun Seoul. Held in Seoul, this event will mark the second consecutive year that Michelin reveals its selection of restaurants from both the Seoul and Busan regions simultaneously.
The MICHELIN Guide will showcase the diversity and depth of Korean cuisine to a global audience through the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Seoul & Busan 2025 event, themed Taste Korea, Feel Korea. The event aims to inspire travelers and food enthusiasts around the world, offering them new culinary experiences and insights into Korea's rich gastronomic culture.
The 2025 edition will spotlight a variety of restaurants in Seoul and Busan regions that have been newly selected by the MICHELIN Guide inspectors for this year, including MICHELIN Star restaurants offering highest quality cuisine, Bib Gourmand restaurants offering exceptional food at reasonable prices, MICHELIN Green Star restaurants promoting sustainable dining as well as the list of all MICHELIN Selected restaurants.
Additionally, the event will announce several prestigious awards, including the MICHELIN Service Award; the MICHELIN Mentor Chef Award, presented in collaboration with Blancpain, a global partner of the MICHELIN Guide; and the MICHELIN Sommelier Award, in partnership with RSRV, the official champagne partner of the MICHELIN Guide Seoul & Busan.
The gala dinner celebrating the release of the MICHELIN Guide Seoul & Busan 2025 will feature top-tier chefs from Korea, as well as MICHELIN Star restaurant chefs from overseas with diverse cultural experiences, such as Taiwan and Singapore. This event is expected to offer a unique opportunity to experience Korea's trendy and mordern culinary culture. Most importantly, it will be a meaningful occasion to express gratitude and celebrate the hard work and dedication of chefs toward the world of gastronomy.
The official partners of the MICHELIN Guide Seoul & Busan 2025 include Busan Tourism Organization, Blancpain, Wuliangye, Nespresso, Genesis, Naver, Evian, Shinsegae, Ilpoom Jinro, Stella Artois, Maison Mumm RSRV, and Aberlour.
