In the upper reaches of Gérardmer, an imposing chalet is home to an inn run by the same family for five generations. The culinary focus is on regional bourgeois fare with a new twist, illustrated by traditional Lorraine stew served like “porkpie” or loin of boar served with tofailles of sweet potatoes. The wine list is out of this world.
