Michelin officially announced the full list of the 2026 restaurant selection of the MICHELIN Guide Chengdu and 3 individual awards on its digital platforms. A total of 76 restaurants made the list: 13 MICHELIN-Starred restaurants (including one newly promoted to One MICHELIN Star), 27 Bib Gourmand eateries, and 36 MICHELIN Selected restaurants.

Restaurant Co- is promoted to One MICHELIN Star
The latest edition of the Guide features a total of 13 MICHELIN-Starred restaurants. Among them, Restaurant Co-, created and operated by a young team, was successfully promoted, earning its first MICHELIN Star.

Innovative Cuisine
The result of the chef Jin YANG's extensive travel and gastronomic experiences, the multicourse tasting menu rolls out novel recipes with seasonal ingredients. Quality produce from all over China is deftly crafted using modern techniques. Gourmets won’t miss the house-made sourdough, made with 20-year-old starter (or yeast), and steeped in complex flavours. Its crispy crust contrasts nicely with the spongy crumbs.Restaurants Xin Rong Ji and Yu Zhi Lan have retained their Two MICHELIN Stars in Chengdu, while 10 restaurants have maintained their One Star distinction. These include establishments offering authentic Sichuan flavors: Chaimen Hui, Fang Xiang Jing, Fu Rong Huang, Ma's Kitchen (Jinjiang), Silver Pot, Xu's Cuisine, and Young Art · Yong Ya He Xian (Tongzilin East Road); restaurant Hokkien Cuisine, which specializes in Fujian cuisine; vegetarian restaurant Mi Xun Teahouse; and European Contemporary restaurant The Hall.
Among them, Restaurant Mi Xun Teahouse, recognized once again with the MICHELIN Green Star. With a "farm-to-table" theme, the restaurant demonstrates the beauty of seasonal ingredients through vegetarian dishes and, at the same time, incorporates local wines and teas. Through sourcing, they support local wineries and agriculture, especially those of tenant farmers near the giant panda habitat.

4 Restaurants Newly Awarded Bib Gourmand, 5 Added to MICHELIN Selected list
In Chengdu's ever-evolving dining scene, many once-hidden, humble eateries have gradually become beloved local landmarks through dedication and perseverance. These establishments continuously refine their dishes and improve their service, offering delicious meals at affordable prices. From classic local fare to fiery hot pot, they all exemplify the accessible charm of Chengdu's cuisine.
MICHELIN Guide inspectors have been seduced by 4restaurants which they newly added to Bib Gourmand selection: Restaurant Bai Nian Fen Zheng Niu Rou, known for its steamed beef with rice flour; Restaurant Zeng Niu Rou (Qingyang), which also specializes in Sichuan beef dishes; Restaurant Cuo Xia, a Chaozhou cuisine eatery led by a young chef; and Restaurant Long Sen Yuan (Qingyang), a hot pot restaurant that has been operating for over 20 years.

Additionally, five restaurants have been added to the main selection for the first time. They are Sichuan cuisine restaurants Infinite Luck, Qie Fang Xiang, Song Chuan, and Wanyan, as well as innovative cuisine restaurant Aurore.
Three young culinary talents received MICHELIN Special Awards, spotlighting the rising generation
While continuing to explore Chengdu's authentic culinary offerings, the MICHELIN Guide inspectors have also kept a close eye on the outstanding professionals driving the local dining scene forward. Three industry talents were respectively honored with the MICHELIN Young Chef Award, Sommelier Award, and Service Award.
Chef You Jie CHEN, from Bib Gourmand Restaurant Cuo Xia, has been awarded the MICHELIN Young Chef Award this year. Born in Chaoshan, he began his culinary career at the age of 20, specializing in Cantonese and Teochew cuisines. Before founding Restaurant Cuo Xia in 2024, he had already gained experience in core management roles in restaurants. Whether leading a refined dining establishment or adhering to the simplicity of a modest eatery, he has demonstrated a strong sense of mission to preserve and promote Chaoshan’s culinary heritage. Passionate about his work, Chef Chen not only meticulously prepares every dish but also personally participates in the restaurant’s spatial design and décor, showcasing both his solid culinary skills and a profound understanding of and respect for the flavors of his homeland.

Mr. Enoch ZHANG, the winner of this year's MICHELIN Sommelier Award, is from MICHELIN Selected Restaurant Brustin. A native of Sichuan, he brings five years of professional sommelier experience to his role. He oversees the selection and pairing of all wines on the wine list. He possesses a unique perspective on wine, meticulously selecting understated, premium wines at reasonable prices to complement dishes and create surprising pairings. He is young, energetic, and enjoys interacting with customers.
Finally, Ms. Grace LONG from One MICHELIN Star Restaurant Co- has been honored with the MICHELIN Service Award. As the restaurant manager, she oversees all front-of-house operations and overall management. Demonstrating not only exceptional professional competence but also a consistently positive attitude and unwavering enthusiasm, she focuses on delivering a complete and superior dining experience for every guest.
