Michelin Star Treats at Goodwood House

Three Michelin Starred Chef Gordon Ramsay teamed up with the MICHELIN Guide to cook a lunch for special guests at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022

Three Michelin Starred Chef Gordon Ramsay teamed up with the MICHELIN Guide on Thursday 23rd June to create a lunch for special guests attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022.

The annual hill climb event is a celebration of all things motorsport, where you can get within inches of iconic road and race cars, witness global debuts, meet some of the biggest names in racing, and discover what the future holds for motoring. The Michelin Supercar Paddock plays host to the newest, most powerful and fastest cars in the world, and is the stuff of dreams for any diehard motorsport enthusiast.

Stepping back from the intensity of the track, the special guests were treated to a much more sedate type of sensory experience: a sustainable journey around the British Isles, showcasing the very best ingredients from talented local producers – a food story, told by Gordon Ramsay and the Executive Chefs from his restaurants across London.

Upon arrival, guests were served a selection of canapés, along with a 'Ginny Tonic' cocktail created exclusively for this event, and made using the spent botanicals of Gordon Ramsay Gin developed by the family-run Eden Mill Distillery on Scotland’s east coast. Flavours such as earthy fennel, lavender and verbena and a sweet lingering finish from local honeyberries were balanced and blended to create a refreshing, flavour-packed cocktail.

"It was truly exciting to sit down with some of my best chefs and devise this menu based around not only excellent ingredients and really delicious dishes, but also for us to push even further our thoughts around sustainability and what that means.

I’m proud of the conversations this provoked and the dishes we have created and thank Goodwood and Michelin for inviting us to be part of such an excellent event."
