Here on the Breton coast there’s a strong British influence, and it’s visible in the Grand Hôtel des Bains; you may know it as the setting for the 1978 French film “Holiday Hotel,” though the décor, in the intervening years, has been substantially updated, and is now a tribute not to England but to New England.
