Of the 393 Stars in this latest selection, 36 of them have been newly awarded this honor: 33 new One Star restaurants, two new Two Star restaurants, and one restaurant added to the Three MICHELIN Star family.
Three Stars in Verona for Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli

A native of the region himself, Perbellini is descended from a family of pastry chefs and has certainly mastered the craft: sesame wafers with sea bass tartar and licorice is just one of his stunning creations. Two Restaurants Double Their Stars
Among the other highlights of The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony 2025 was the awarding of the coveted Two MICHELIN Stars to a pair of Italian restaurants. Both made the leap this year from One Star to Two.Villa Elena (Bergamo, Chef Marco Galtarossa)
This young chef combines technical mastery with an impeccable understanding of flavor. Duck, for example, is grilled to perfection in a memorable dish that also involves the liver served in ravioli with celery, plus a succulent crespella (the Italian equivalent of a crêpe) stuffed with duck thighs. The restaurant's setting in an aristocratic villa only increases its appeal, as does the attentive service. The benevolent shadow of Chef Enrico Bartolini, who was Galtarossa's mentor and partner, is never far away.
Campo del Drago (Montalcino, Chef Matteo Temperini)
It's time to make Tuscany your next destination, specifically the splendid, Three MICHELIN Key hotel Castiglion del Bosco, which is renowned for its dreamy aesthetics and exceptional hospitality. It's in this pristine setting that Matteo Temperini's very personal cuisine is allowed to blossom, providing a declaration of love to Tuscany and its produce. The chef offers a welcome touch of creativity that enhances the seasonal ingredients; the first autumn mushrooms, for example, picked in the surroundings woods, are served in a superb preparation with gnocchi, chanterelles, and porcini mushrooms for extra fragrance.
33 New One MICHELIN Star Restaurants
This year, 33 establishments have been newly awarded a MICHELIN Star! Among these winners, we find a theme of experienced chefs passing on their know-how to younger talents, with brilliant results. Le Cattedrali in Asti and Cannavacciuolo by the Lake in Pettenasco, run by Gianluca Renzi and Giovanni Bertone respectively, are both Antonino Cannavacciuolo projects; Olmo in San Pietro all'Olmo is the fruit of the collaboration between Davide Oldano and young chef Riccardo Merli; and finally, in Modena, Al Gatto Verde also receives its first Star, providing a precious seal of approval for Chef Jessica Rosval, who runs this Massimo Bottura-backed operation.In addition to the highly talented professionals celebrated at the ceremony, these Stars also shine a light on Italy's varied regions and the exceptional gastronomic offering they provide for locals and travelers alike. Lombardy is the region with the most new entries on the 2025 list, and with a total of 61 Starred restaurants, it is the most stellar region in Italy, followed by Campania (50 Stars), Tuscany (44 Stars), Piedmont (35 Stars), and Veneto (34 Stars).
11 New MICHELIN Green Stars for Restaurants Committed to Sustainable Gastronomy
For the 2025 Ceremony, a total of 69 Green Stars have been awarded to highlight cooking that is eco-friendly and no less delicious for it. The following restaurants newly impressed our Inspectors with the strength of their commitment:Agriturismo Ferdy in Lenna, Artifex in Brennero, Bistrot in Forte dei Marmi, Il Cappero on the island of Vulcano, Don Alfonso 1890 in San'Agata sui Due Golfi, Al Gatto Verde in Modena, Locanda la Raia in Gavi, Prezioso in Merano, Ronchi Rò in Dolegna del Collio, and Il Tiglio in Montemonaco.
The Green Star is an award for restaurants at the forefront of culinary sustainability. It can be awarded to any establishment in the selection, regardless of its distinction. To award a Green Star, the Inspectors take into account multiple factors, such as: production of the ingredients, respect and support for local producers, waste and energy resource management, and training on eco-responsible issues.
