"The oldest inn in the Palatinate" has been around since 1160 – as it says on the façade. Given that the hosts are dedicated, the location is charming and the cuisine is excellent, it's no surprise that it's popular with many (regular) guests – and it's best to book ahead. The restaurant is divided into different rooms, which creates a certain intimacy. Historical and modern details have been successfully combined, including eye-catching features such as wonderful old tiled stoves and a brick fountain. Regional cuisine with international influences is served in the form of a lovely, seasonal à la carte selection featuring dishes such as "Palatina Trio – Saumagen, bratwurst, liver dumplings", "cod fillet, saffron foam, herb risotto, kohlrabi" or even charcoal-grilled rump steak. The selection of Palatinate wines is appealing – and there is also a wine bar. The terrace in the courtyard is truly charming.
