The outbuildings of Château de la Bretesche, an imposing medieval castle, are home to this restaurant, which oozes cachet and looks out onto the grounds and lake. Surrounded by nature, the location is full of charm, not least thanks to a bar housed in the converted stables. The chef cooks up contemporary cuisine in which fish and seafood take pride of place – lightly smoked langoustine with confit tomato and lemon caviar is served with a tarragon cream sauce.
