MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Despite its location on the first floor of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Marisol is so much more than a museum food court. This restaurant takes its name from the late French pop art sculptor, whose work was the museum’s first acquisition. The local, seasonal and sensible cooking appeals to all palates, though much of the menu focuses on vegetables. Start with a duo of raw and char-grilled rapini, tossed with pepitas, bits of flavorful n'duja and set over a smear of garlicky aïoli to experience a plate that wins on every level. This kitchen also knows how to roast a soul-warming chicken, served with new potatoes and green garlic-pan sauce. If your appetite permits, savor the miso-butterscotch pudding finished with satsuma, macadamias and puffed rice.
