InterContinental Grand Hôtel Bordeaux
After an Intercontinental takeover in 2015, it’s been restored to its former glory, most notably with the Two MICHELIN-Starred restaurant Le Pressoir d’Argent Gordon Ramsay, where the signature blue lobster dish is theatrically presented to diners using a solid silver Christofle lobster press, one of only five in the world. Another big name in hospitality can be found in the guest rooms and suites, French designer Jacques Garcia, who has dressed each with his signature ornate style of period furnishings, heavy drapes and patterned wallpapers in a rich palette of golden yellow, soft burgundy and brown. Other destination dining options include Brasserie Le Bordeaux, Winter Bar l’Orangerie for light meals, drinks, and afternoon tea, and in summer, a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city. A Guerlain Spa caps off the facilities with a holistic offering of a pool, sauna, hammam, tearoom, Guerlain treatments and a Guerlain boutique.
