MICHELIN guide Singapore Street Food Festival 2017

The Coliseum, Resorts World Sentosa

Singapore’s First-ever MICHELIN guide Street Food Festival Debuts this April

A celebration of multi-cultural and delicious local street food of Singapore from the kitchens of more than 12 Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrated Bib Gourmand eateries all in one location MICHELIN guide Singapore and Robert Parker Wine Advocate are jointly presenting the inaugural MICHELIN guide Street Food Festival at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) this April with a celebration of culinary specialities showcasing the exciting and diverse flavours of multi-ethnic Singapore. This is the first time guests can savour delicious offerings from different Michelin-starred eateries under one roof, without needing to travel to different corners of Singapore.

Taking place over two evening sessions on April 14 and 15 (Friday and Saturday) at the ambient and breezy Coliseum at Resorts World Sentosa, the MICHELIN guide Street Food Festival will feature one-, two- and three-Michelin star, as well as Bib Gourmand establishments with their star dishes that includes many delightful local street food favourites and a selection of international street food cuisine.

A Multi-Cultural Showcase of Singapore’s Best

Headlining this inaugural Street Food Superstars by MICHELIN guide Singapore is a star-studded line-up of eateries from the very first selection of the MICHELIN guide Singapore 2016. These include the world’s first-ever street food starred in a MICHELIN guide, Hong Kong Soya Sauce Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle, Bib Gourmand awardee, Wedang, famous for its traditional Malay favourites like Gado-Gado, Tauhu Goreng and Satay as well as Michelin star awardees like one-star Indian restaurant Song of India, two-star Japanese restaurant, Shoukouwa and three-star Joël Robuchon Restaurant. Each would showcase their interpretation of local street favourites at value-for-money prices.

Nostalgia and Delicious Value – all under one roof

Food is the fabric of Singapore’s culture, becoming a part of the country’s national identity and well-loved around the world for its rich multi-ethnic influences. The MICHELIN guide Street Food Festival aims to celebrate Singapore’s multi-ethnic diversity and how food brings everyone together. The setting would be dressed to a retro theme to reflect the street food culture of Singapore from the 1960s and 1970s.

Through this exclusive two-day event, there is no need to scour the whole city for the best MICHELIN guide picks – it is all at one place at RWS.
