This place feels like a secluded Japanese home – the kimono-clad hostess walks you through the garden to the dining room with 12 seats at a cypress counter. The Japanese chef serves an omakase menu that draws on both tradition and innovation with dishes such as octopus with house-made ricotta. The sashimi shows intricate knife skills and the sushi rice is dressed in a special vinegar blend. The panna cotta with honey rounds off the meal nicely.
