MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Herberg Onder de Linden is a restaurant with a long-standing reputation, which has held a Michelin star since 1992. Steven and Tanja Klein Nijenhuis took over the reins in 2016 and have given it new impetus, decorating this listed building dating back to 1735 with even more style (the chandelier is magnificent! ) and creating a warm and friendly ambience.

The chef has given the culinary tradition of this restaurant his own personalised twist, using Asian influences to create dishes that are sophisticated and full of surprises. Techniques such as salting and the subtle use of seasonings such as sambal give local produce that extra dimension, whilst the umami flavours are simply astonishing.

Make sure you combine your culinary experience with an overnight stay as the rooms are wonderful and the breakfast is excellent.
