This very spacious and vibrant establishment, with its warm decor, is located at a remove from the city centre, but this in no way diminishes its popularity among the locals, who flock here to savour delicious treats straight from the large wood-fired oven or the imposing grill. Emektar Kebap is defined by honest, traditional cooking. From iskembe (a rich beef tripe soup) to lahmacun (Turkish pizza) baked in the oven with minced meat and tomato, and succulent spit-roasted lamb served with yoghurt and aubergine, this is the kind of authenticity that keeps foodies returning for more.
