The home of Riccardo and Claudia, Il Piastrino is situated amid the beautiful Montefeltro hills. A long-held dream for this couple, which they nurtured during their formative years working in various Michelin-starred restaurants, the restaurant was finally opened in 2007. Beautifully looked after and embellished with each passing year, the house now boasts a magnificent contemporary decor that is in total harmony with the warm rustic nature of its surroundings. The restaurant’s crowning glory is Agostino’s technical, creative cuisine, which showcases the best seasonal ingredients, often sourced from the local region. This chef’s dishes are a feast for the eyes and the palate, often complex and elaborate in style yet never overly artificial.

"Surrounded by the verdant Valmarecchia hills, this restaurant is situated in the Parco Begni, an estate which provides an inspiring example of respect for the land and its biodiversity. The estate’s kitchen garden provides around 60% of its vegetables, and the remainder is sourced from local producers from within a 50km radius of the property. Foraging also provides additional ingredients. Wood from pruning and natural windfall is used for heating and as fuel for the barbecue."
