Modern Cuisine
The team from Baillote strikes again! Located in a narrow, picturesque little street, this convivial restaurant boasts a dining area done out in ochre tones and with leather banquette seating, an open kitchen with a counter and a back room with a skylight. Chef Louis Fedide (who has worked at Le Gavroche in London) is winning over diners with modern cuisine that combines French ingredients with the flavours of Japan – the influence of co-owner Kazuma Chikuda makes itself felt here. He cooks his pork tenderloin, cherry jus, pommes Anna and pak choi, for example, over binchotan charcoal. Delicious lunchtime menu-carte; in the evening, enticing small plates and fine cuts of meat and fish to share.

A Food Lover’s Guide to the Latin Quarter, Paris’ Arty-Academic Area
Famously eclectic, and ever shifting between the high and low, the Latin Quarter in Paris is where the city’s intellectual heart beats. But it’s not just students that call the historic university district home — it’s also a long-standing hub for some of the best restaurants, culture and entertainment in town.
