One Star: High quality cooking
It’s well worth travelling the 60-odd kilometres from the centre of Belgrade to get to this fascinating property serving fine cuisine and excellent wines. The restaurant is situated within the Atelje Vina Šapat winery and is surrounded by 12 hectares of vines. The dining room is elegant, classic and contemporary in style, with large windows that allow guests to enjoy extensive views of the peaceful Danube, the vineyards and the verdant countryside all around. Talented chef Nikola Stojaković brilliantly merges the refined techniques he honed in some of France’s top restaurants with the finest Serbian ingredients, including local meats and freshwater fish. His creativity shines through in a distinctive approach: each savoury dish is presented in three successive variations, each one a unique interpretation of the same main ingredient. For those willing to trade a view of the Danube for a front-row seat to the culinary action, a special table positioned directly in front of the kitchen provides a captivating front-row experience. The wine list is truly remarkable, featuring over 500 labels—from the estate’s own vintages to outstanding selections from across the globe. A truly exceptional dining experience!
