A large wooden door dating from the late 19C leads into this restaurant, which makes a striking impression from the moment you step over the threshold. You come first of all into a dark-coloured reception area, which then leads into three dining rooms decorated with antique furniture, most of which dates from the 1950s. Two tasting menus are served here (one classic in style, the other more creative), showcasing chef Alberto Gipponi’s culinary skills to the full – one of the most interesting options is the guinea fowl with lemon and gentian, which has a perfect balance of softness and delicate acidity. Ask the talented sommelier for his wine recommendations – we particularly enjoyed an excellent Riesling from the nearby Val Brembana.
