A unique sweet experience, a talented pastry chef
Originally a modest inn opened in 1822, this Vienne institution went on to be made famous by the legendary Mado and Fernand Point in the early 20C, before being taken over by Patrick Henriroux in 1989. Since then, it has continued to evolve: a designer decor for the dining space, the addition of a second restaurant (PH3) and a charming hotel etc. As for the food here, classic recipes are given a contemporary twist, with everything being prepared precisely and with a sense of moderation. Lobster with tarragon orange vinaigrette; Arctic char cooked over an open flame, pulp of Cévennes sweet onions; chocolate piano, grilled coffee sauce. Note the great deal to be had with the lunch menu (a real bargain) and the service that is attentive down to the smallest detail, continuing in the tradition of the great French establishments.
