A stylish little restaurant in the Gourmet & Wine Hotel Austria set at an altitude of 1930m. The 16-seat dining area has a chic modern Alpine ambience – beautiful old wood panelling from floor to ceiling, plus high-calibre design. The kitchen follows its own philosophy: the cuisine is close to nature and regionally sourced yet open to international influences. As head chef, Carinthian-born Verena Stattmann proposes an evening "Fine Dine Menu", in which she gives free rein to a passion for cooking that is just as ardent went it comes to vegetarian dishes, such as "ROOTS – pointed cabbage, parsnip, spinach". Head sommelier Maximilian Steiner, who has a 1200-strong selection of wines at his fingertips, also oversees the restaurant floor.
