This restaurant is in Der WILDe EDER, a tasteful wellness hotel, the name of which refers to patrons Eveline Wild and Stefan Eder. The vibe is chic, the glass-paned façade affords a view of the greenery – with a bit of luck you'll get to take in the sunset. The menu consists of seven courses and various small bites, enhanced by the nice idea of each course being accompanied by a story on a card. The chef serves the dishes himself and explains his philosophy, which revolves around nature, seasonal produce and sustainability. He also has a soft spot for vegetarian dishes. The crowning finale is the patronne's desserts! The friendly and competent team will recommend the right wine to accompany the creative dishes; the selection comprises over 450 items, including many regional wines.
"It's fair to say that, when it comes to our cuisine, regionality is at the heart of our brand. But the fact that our set menus are always plant-forward and that we go entirely vegetarian in September also says a lot about our philosophy! Our producers are based nearby: We get cattle from the Almenland, lamb from the Weizer Schafbauern farmers' cooperative, there is a game reserve with deer in the village – all of which is great for us. Furthermore, the conservation of resources is a matter close to our hearts!"
