One White Street
This 19th-century townhouse, once the downtown hangout for John Lennon and Yoko Ono, has been transformed into a charming and pleasing destination. Gorgeous marble, superb tile work and modern light fixtures decorate the intimate and attractive wood-clad space. The intimate setting offers both à la carte dining and a tasting menu, and the team operates a market next door as well. The menus throughout feature produce sourced from their upstate farm. Bold and clever flavors come easily to this kitchen team, as seen in the grilled Montauk sea bream with fennel in a chamomile butter sauce. Desserts stick to the season, as in a summer-sweet apricot tart topped with lemon verbena frozen yogurt.
"Our partner farm in the Hudson Valley is tasked with supplying our restaurant with as much seasonal produce as possible throughout our four growing seasons and allows us to truly operate a “farm to table” restaurant. A supportive ecosystem of relationships allows our farm to practice progressively sustainable farming techniques and build an organization that is able to invest in and support the lives of its farmers as well as our Tribeca community."
