Founded in 1935, this ‘city dining hall’ has been in the same family for four generations. The shop is in an office district and feeds a mix of local office workers and long-time regular customers. There is a long list of comfort foods on the menu that go well with rice, including juicy hamburger steaks, and cream croquettes of scallops and shrimp. Season-limited fare, such as beef curry in summer and deep-fried oysters in winter, add to the eatery’s appeal.
