The Cantonese-trained chef, now in his sixties, remains actively at the helm, drawing on more than five decades of experience to present a wide repertoire spanning regional Chinese cuisines. He is especially renowned for his mastery of soups, with Buddha Jumps Over the Wall—a dish he was the first to introduce to Korea—established as his signature.
