MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

This sweet little Menlo Park charmer arrives courtesy of Chef/partner Greg Kuzia-Carmel. The vibe inside is as welcoming as it gets—the light-flooded space is strewn with homey throw pillows, and the crowd is a sophisticated mix of professionals and families (the kids' menu looks delicious enough to tempt an adult). The Californian fare is refined, creative and seasonal, so anticipate the likes of charcuterie and oysters, followed by handmade pastas (like a sweet corn agnolotti with bacon). Their hearty mains are also quite the rage, and may include warming Camper Chicken served with basmati rice and fresh greens. Be sure to save room for the house cornbread-an otherworldly cake-like concoction, served with perfectly tempered honey butter.
